Job Description:

The Independent Living Facilitator (ILF) provides for the care, fellowship, and protection of persons who because of physical or mental infirmity cannot care for themselves. Such services may include accompanying persons with disabilities in the community; household work including meal preparation, bed-making, clothes-washing and other similar services. General household work not related to the care of the Consumer does not exceed 20% of the total weekly hours worked. The responsibilities of the ILF shall vary based upon the needs of the agency and the needs and preferences of the Consumer(s), but shall not exceed the limitations of a personal attendant under wage order 15 of the California Code.

  • Implementation of behavioral intervention strategies
  • Required documentation (i.e. journal entries)
  • Attend in-service opportunities and training workshops as directed
  • Maintain CPR/first aid certification
  • Crisis Prevention & Intervention Certification Required.
  • Other duties as assigned
